The legacy of the Roman Empire was mainly literature, and art, but also gave us new ways of architecture that we use to this day.
Sorry - got this in a bit late.
Gerhardt Troan was born on January 31, 2000 in Vancouver, British Columbia. He has lived in the Fraser valley for most of his life, save two years on Vancouver Island. He is avid gamer, a game designer and a voracious reader of science fiction and fantasy. He can often be found on his bed, reading, with his cat Minerva curled up at his feet. He loves to travel and would like to do more of it. He also enjoys food from various countries, such as Japan, Vietnam and Italy. He is concerned with global warming and loves to spend time on his grandmother`s organic farm.
The ancient Roman Empire influenced many parts of modern society. Some examples are, language, religion and technology. Latin was the common language for the vast empire and became the root for modern French, Spanish and Italian. English also has many Latin words. In the late Roman Empire, Christianity was legalized and became the official faith. Christianity is currently the most popular religion. Lastly the Romans innovated and improved technologies such as aqueducts, architecture and extensive road systems.
the world today was influenced by the roman empire. our sports arena are built like the colosseum, our governments rules and laws came from the romans. the religions that we have today came from the romans.
First, the laws. Roman laws have had an influence on many laws that we have in our country, and others. (I think) Second, religion. One of their religions, Christianity, is one of the largest and longest standing religions in the world. Lastly, is language. Latin was the most common language spoken through the empire. Many languages, such as Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Italian have Latin roots.
The roman empire has influenced our society in many ways. One good example is their architectural innovations. Another way they influenced our society is the when in 830 they adopted Christianity as their official religion which is the most followed religion in the world. Latin the language of the roman empire has influenced many languages including French, Spanish and Italian.
The legacy of the Roman Empire is religious, literature, and architectural.
1.) Language: Latin was the common language for Romans and many people still use it today, many languages have Latin words or bases such as Portuguese, French and Italian.
2.) Infrastructure: They built aqueducts and road systems that have influence how we build our roads today.
3.) Religion: One of the Romans religions, Christianity is the largest religion in modern day with about 2 billion followers.
The Romans gave us:
1. Architecture: Many important buildings have Roman architecture.
2. Language: Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, and Romanian are all descended from Latin.
3. Law: Many of the laws we have today, such as innocent until proven guilty, came from Rome.
The Romans gave us...
1. Theater: The Romans did plays like we do now days.
2. Government: The Romans had emperors that let other people in power help make some decisions.
3. Jobs: Some Romans jobs like Bakers, Butchers and Jewelers are just some jobs that are still around today.
our laws are like the romans laws, religion christianity, and we kinda build our buildings like they did, and people still speak latin
The Roman empire may be long gone but it's legacy lives on today, influencing most of the world. The Romans created trade routes between the various cultures of Western Europe, Asia and Africa. This promoted a cultural exchange which shaped the development of society for the whole world. Roman architecture, including the roadways which opened the aforementioned trade routes was very much ahead of it's time. They took what the Greeks had designed and improved upon it, as we have done to their architecture today. The Romans paved the way to modern laws and government systems, though once again it was heavily based upon the Greek systems of law and government.
the romans gave us...
1. a system of highways
2. running water
3. univeral language
The Roman legacies were Latin, education, and architecture. We use Latin roots to make English words, which we speak everyday. We also do homework almost everyday, and that is getting us more educated. Finally, they gave us architectural ideas, still being used to this day.
The legacy of the Roman Empire is architecture, entertainment, and laws.
Architecture: Most of the structures the Romans built are still used today, such as their bridges and roads.
Entertainment: One very popular activity in Ancient Rome was gladiator fighting, which is the same as actions movies today.
Laws: One of the Roman laws were innocent until proven guilty, which we use today.
The Romans showed us that even though the things that they invented thousands of years ago are still still an active part of our society to this day.
The Romans invented a new way of architecture that is used to build stronger structures that won't fall down at the slightest gust of wind. (B.C. Place is actually modeled after the Colosseum!)
Strict laws were also invented by the Romans, which we use in court to help settle disputes and to punish crimes.
Another field that the Romans influenced today's society is in language. Although Latin is a dead language, many languages (including English) still use Latin to create new words.
Although the Romans are gone, they still affect the way we live nowadays!
The legacy of the Roman Empire:
The five Romance Languages (French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Romanian) which are all commonly used today descend from Latin, which was commonly spoken in the Roman Empire. Latin was a Lingua franca, which is a common language that lets people communicate that don't share a mother tongue.
In many places that were once part of the Roman Empire ancient architectural marvels have survived, such as the Colosseum in Rome, Italy.
Christianity, which was spread throughout the Roman Empire is still practiced today. However there are many other Religions today besides Christianity, such as Buddhism. Of course there's also Atheists and Darwinists, like myself.
The legacy of the Roman Empire is that there are structures and architecture, art and education, and cities. For example, BC place is built like the coliseum because you can see the show wherever you sit. Getting together to watch sporting events comes from the Roman Empire. Another example is the cities the Romans built. Without cities we would just have farmland everywhere we looked. There would be no place to get supplies or sell goods. The Romans charged taxes so that they could support the city and we still pay taxes to this day. Education and interest in art and culture was also a very important part to them, as it is to us. The Romans made Latin their common language so that they could talk about ideas. Without the Roman Empire we wouldn’t have any of these things.
Ancient Rome had a large impact on the modern world and improved it in several ways. For instance, the Romans used Latin language, which remained the language of several European countries after the Roman Empire fell. The French, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese languages all developed from forms of Latin, and many words from English also came from Latin. The Romans also developed laws which provided a model for many of our legal systems. The Roman Empire was the first society to use lawyers, who would interpret the law on behalf of clients. Roman engineering influenced today's society by paving roads in stone, using arches to make larger buildings, and developing concrete, which is a building material we still use today.
Laws, entertainment and architecture were all part of the roman legacy. The roman legacy has had a huge impact on us today. Romans would have big gladiator fights where people from all over would come to watch. Now we have Concerts and movie theaters for entertainment. Roman architecture is a big part of today’s buildings, Rogers arena is based on the coliseum! Our law is a lot like how the Roman law was. Just like how you will go to court to see who is guilty and who is innocent. Look around you, can you see anything that’s based on the roman legacy?
The world today was influenced by the Roman Empire. Our governments, laws and religions came from the Romans. Also, our sports arenas were built like the coliseum. For example, BC place was built like the coliseum because no matter where you sit you can always see what is going on.
the legacy of the roman empire refers to set of culture value, religious beliefs and technological and ancient Rome which were passed on after the demise of the empire itself and continued to shape other civilizations.
what is the three most modern countries that are influenced
