I like World Vision because they help poor people on the other side of the world, that I wouldn't be able to help otherwise, get food, medical care, and an education. They also help spread the good news of Jesus to people who might not have heard it before. I find them important because they are one of the biggest Christian charities that don't just spread the news, but show God's love while they are there. I chose World Vision because we have sponsored a boy though them, I like to say that I now have a brother, and I hope to meet him some day.

The charity that I chose is Katie's Place. I think that it is important to think about all the animals that don't have a home or someone that loves them. Katie's Place takes them in and gives them a home, food and love until somebody comes to adopt them.

The charity I chose is Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals (SPCA). Their mission statement is "to protect and enhance the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in B.C". They help animals that are being abused. This abuse takes the form in many different ways, such as being left outside without shelter, being beaten, and not getting food. I chose this charity because I love animals and I think it's important to support living creatures, especially ones who can't speak.

Although this may seem redundant, I chose LAPS (Langley Animal Protection Society). It is a non-profit animal shelter that houses and treats stray or lost cats and dogs. LAPS is not the SPCA, though they do work with them. LAPS has its own animal control officers who respond to and investigate dog and large animal complaints. They are a no kill shelter whose mandate is to “promote the physical, emotional and psychological well being of companion animals in Langley.” LAPS also organizes a community pet food bank and sells dog licenses. Finally, they have an active volunteer program which helps to maintain the shelter and more importantly, keep the animals in a stress free loving environment. I chose LAPS because I volunteer there and like many other people, I love helping animals!

i chose WSPA which stands for the World Society for the Protection of Animals. They helped ban Japan for Whale hunting. That good because Whales should not be hunted and they will hunt them out of existance if they keep doing that. They are also trying to stop Taiji's annual Dolphin hunt. They help protect animals around the world from being harmed by people for no reason.I like animals and they should stay on this earth. No animal should become extinct..

The Charity I chose was The Salvation Army. The reason I chose them is because I always see them standing out in the rain or snow (when we get some.) Their goal is to end poverty but that is a little extreme, so I think that if everyone in Canada gave 1 or 2 dollars to the poor, I couldn't imagine that effect we would have against poverty!

The types of charitable organizations that interest me are “food banks”. So the non-profit organization that I choose is the Greater Vancouver food bank Society (GVFBS). So the GVFBS provides access to healthy food and education to the less fortunate. Their goal is to help end hunger. Their important because their trying to make it so that people always have accessible, healthy and sustainable food. I chose them because I like what they’re doing, their goal and their vision. Their universal resource locator is this: https://www.foodbank.bc.ca/

I have chosen the Langley Food Bank as a charitable organization that interests me. The Langley Food Bank is a place where people donate food for people that may not be able to afford all the food that they need to buy at a regular super market. The Langley Food Bank is important because during a holiday, Christmas for example, people donate all kinds of things like clothes, food, toys, and appliances. My mom’s side of the family always sponsors a family by going to buy a list of things this family requested, for e.g. a warm coat, hats and gloves, and even food. We always make sure that if there are kids in the family that we buy them toys and other cool stuff! I’ve chosen the Langley Food Bank because I really think it’s a neat and sweet thing to do for people and maybe I would want to be a part of an organization like that someday.

I chose Compassion International. Compassion International is basically a way to sponsor children in third world countries. I think it's important because so many people's lives are changed through this program. When someone sponsors a child, it gives them an opportunity to get better healthcare and/or go to school.

Water for life is an nonprofit organization that provides safe water sources for people who need them. They are important because people in places where there is no safe water need safe water to survive. I chose water for life because it was the only organization that I could remember.

I chose an organization called Night Shift. Night Shift is devoted to helping the homeless. Every Sunday in Surrey, they serve the homeless by giving them clothing, and food completely cost-free. They also give counseling for people in need. Night Shift is so important because they help people who are not able to support themselves or their families in poverty stricken areas of Surrey. Without Night Shift things would look grim for the homeless. I chose this organization because me and my family often volunteer to help, so I know a bit about it. This company survives solely on donations and volunteering. To find out more, click on this link: http://nightshiftministries.org/

The charitable organization that I have chosen is called LAPS, short for Langley Animal Protection Society. What they do is basically in the name. They find injured, beaten, or abandoned animals and take them in to care for them. They help them to heal and then find the animal a good home, and they dont put down animals just because they simply dont have enough space for in the facilities. They are important because their main interest is the well being of the animal, whereas SPCA might put them down because they dont have space in their building. I chose it because I think that LAPS is a really amazing company, and they show that they really love animals. http://www.lapsbc.ca/
