I think the Google glass is very cool. Some I examples of what it can do are - when you blink you can take a picture and you can translate your voice and give yourself directions where you want to go. I protect my privacy from others by not giving out too much information about myself, especially on the internet. I don't use my last name on you tube or say where I live or how old I am.
In my opinion I think that that the Google glass is an awesome and very helpful invention. It is a very handy invention and it is much quicker as you can just talk to it and ask it to do things for you instead of having to pull out your phone or computer and have to google your request. To keep protect my privacy from others I do not put my address or phone number on anything and I do not give out too much information about myself.
It is a pretty cool invention, but in the hands of the wrong people and for the wrong reasons could cause some issues. Good post Emily.
I feel that the Google Glass is really quite amazing technology, while I personally wouldn't want some stranger to be able to film me so easily without me knowing. It will really be an awesome device anyway (Once the price is reduced). And I think for the most part people are just over reacting...
While I can also see that it would be worrying to be approached like that, I think the woman in the story also reacted very poorly. When someone disagrees with your opinion, even in an extremely spiteful way, the solution is not to record them. Because that recording could not be used in a good way, and would only serve to angry that person further...
Some ways I protect my privacy are by not putting any pictures of myself online, I don't comment or post on Youtube, Twitter, Facebook or any other such sites. And often I don't use my real name to sign up for things.
So right Christian. I think the lady made things worse when she told them she was recording them. The people who attacked her were wrong, but she certainly could have handled herself differently as well (provided all the details in the story are accurate of course.).
Google glass seems pretty incredible but it is worrying in some ways. Privacy is definitely a concern. Most people are careful with computers but not everyone realizes- this device is basically a computer. I can see this technology advancing in all the wrong ways. It could be coded to hack government databases or spy on people for example.
As for my own personal privacy, I give myself a fake age and often a fake name on my internet profiles. Under my location I list "Canada" at the very most. I give away enough information so as to not seem suspicious but not enough to track, identify or contact me.
Good to see you practicing good security practices Gerd. Well written Gerhardt.
I love the Google glass. My thought are that u don't have to hold something like an iPod or and iPhone. don't have to touch it to take a picture and u don't have to search directions u can say it.The privacy i would do is not to put a lot of info about me on Facebook, twitter, vine and Google plus i gave me a face age on Facebook and every other thing that i have as well as a Facebook picture of what i look like
Thanks for your comments James. Google Glass would definitely make some tasks much easier.

When you are texting or emailing your friends, go nuts and use as much shorthand as you want, but always put your best foot forward for your school work. ** Thanks, James.
The Google Glass sounds like a really interesting invention. It definitely seems like it's a lot more convenient and easy to use than a camera, phone, or computer. I would be a bit concerned though, knowing that someone could be taking pictures or a video of me without me knowing. I don't have Facebook, Twitter, or my own email, so my privacy is pretty well protected. I also don't give out my information online unless it's for school and absolutely necessary, and if it is necessary I give out as little as possible.
Good job Vanessa. Do you use any social media sites or apps? Social media and the internet definitely has it's downside, but the upside and the ability to connect with people around the world is amazing.
Sorry Mr.Main I forgot to tell you that I'm putting all my blog responses on my homework blog:
HANNA'S BLOG POST: "I think the Google Glass invention is amazing! Its crazy what kind of technology we have access to.
I remember watching SpyKids the movie and wanting all their gadgets and hoping someday they will be real and not just in movies. But its awesome to think that half the the gadgets in that movie are here today in our everyday lives, we have access to them. They aren't difficult to find. I'm the person who would love to have all these tools and love to learn and try new things with the technology. But I can kinda see why people aren't as interested as I am about the new high tech stuff. I still like my privacy too, I would like to know if I'm being recorded or in some strangers picture. However I don't think the way the people that don't like these appliances expressed there feelings and opinions properly. They are getting peoples attention though, which is the sad thing because now they know they are getting attention so they will keep doing it. I'm not exactly sure how to protect my privacy from others when it can be so easily invaded. I mean I know how to password protect my accounts but what do you do when it comes to google glass? Do you put a sign on your head and say I am not recording you and we will automatically believe you aren't lying? Technology today is so amazing but there are some cons to it. How can we take the steps to protect our privacy? That I think is the next multi-million dollar invention for technology."
You raise some really good questions that need to be discussed. Well done Hanna!
The Google Glass are pretty cool but I think we should be more respectful of other people's privacy. The Glass doesn't really care about other peoples privacy, its just a computer. It is up to us to respect others privacy and take care to keep our own stuff private. For example, I have a password on my iPod that I change every month. And if you have Instagram or Facebook you might want to change the settings so that not just anyone can fallow you.
In my opinion Google Glass is a very cool invention, however, I don’t think it is developed enough to make it a useful consumer product. Also there are issues with privacy and someone being able to film you without you knowing. I think that a flexible smart watch would be a better idea, they still have voice control and many more features than google glass. Also the privacy issue with google glass isn’t a problem with a smart watch. To protect my privacy i put very little personal information in on my accounts.
I think google glass is a cool and useful invention that most people will be wearing in the near future. It has a cool futuristic look to it, almost like something you would see in a movie. The only problem with the google glass is the $1500 price. I have no problem with protecting my privacy on the internet because I use no social media and I know when someone is scamming me.
I think that Google Glass will be cool, it is a useful and gimmicky device, It has a sleek and clean appearance. I do not think it will be too popular due to the $1500 price-point and the limited usability/features. I am not very concerned about my internet privacy because I hardly use any social networks.
