It was a nice reprieve from the usual sweltering heat in our classroom, as the temperature outside, helped keep it cool in our classroom, making for a much more comfortable work environment for both Division 7 & 8 students. The students worked really well all day...first on "showing and telling" me about their Humanities Fair Projects, and then with their DART assessments this afternoon. I was really pleased with the effort a number of the students put into their work today. To finish off their day, the classes played a mini-tournament where they would either be playing soccer or basketball, depending on the toss of a coin. I was proud to see how well both classes worked with one another at the end of a long day.
HOMEWORK: Students need to finish their Humanities Fair projects, as we won't have any class time tomorrow to complete the final touches of their chosen projects. Presentations will take place on Monday, June 13th.
REMINDER: Any student who has not brought in a signed copy of the "Gladiator" movie viewing permission form, will not be allowed to watch the academy award winning film in class on Friday. There is a copy of the permission form available on Monday's Daily Recap & Homework Page.
