The day started with a quick class talk about Remembrance Day, and I read an article from the Langley Advance, about some Langley war veterans from the long forgotten Boer War. We discussed a little more about the importance of commemorating Remembrance Day, then moved on to this week's spelling words. Prior to recess, the Grade Sixes went to band, while the Grade Fives worked on their Heart Health workbooks with Mrs. King. Following recess we did a lesson on Place Value, Decimals, Rounding and Ordering, then the students went to work putting their math skills to the test. In the afternoon, we learned more about how to play Quidditch, returned for a short work period to complete Math and Spelling, then the Grade 5s went off to Music, and the Grade 6s helped with some posters.
HOMEWORK: Please finish your spelling sentences if they weren't completed in class.
REMINDER: Tomorrow is lesson #2 of our Sportsplex Skating Program. Parent-driver and students, please meet in the classroom at 8:40am to get organized and get into our driving groups prior to the second morning bell.
