Students were given traditional shapes used by Coast Salish artists and had to use those shapes and create an animal. Also, they were only permitted to use the traditional colours of red, black and white.
The students were given 3 minutes to begin a drawing, then we rotated 5 times around their table group, and each of their classmates had 2 minutes each to add to their drawing. After the original drawing was added to by the other students, the original student had 3 more minutes to finish what they'd started. The final step was 15 minutes of time to colour it. See the results below... pretty cool!
The students were given a song, and had one hour to choreograph and code a dance that matched the tempo and style of their music, using their Dash robots & Blockly. Here are the results...NICE!! Inside the cards are details about the students' favourites, and interests.
