For this assignment, the focus is on the "theme" of a story. Please either watch the video below, or log on to BrainPop.com , take notes then choose a story, movie, novel and write about its theme. Your response should be between 150 – 200 words. For this written response, your work should be posted in the "Comments" section of today's Daily Recap and Homework page. What exactly is theme, moral and plot??
The theme of a story is what the author is trying to convey — in other words, the central idea of the story. The plot is simply what happens in the story and the order of the story's events, and the moral is the lesson that the writer wants the main character to learn from the story. Read the History of Star Wars, then answer the 10 questions at the end of the article. PLEASE ANSWER IN COMPLETE SENTENCES, and then submit your answers into you HAND IN Folder.
Watching these videos are OPTIONAL, but could help you make sense of the confusing Star Wars timelines. *Please be advised that the word a** is used at the 09:55 mark of the second video. While I wish the presenter had made a better choice of words, I still feel the overall content of the videos and the quality of the explanations make the videos worthy of being included in today's post. If you do not want your child to hear the word please either skip or mute that moment in the video, or please do not watch the video, as it is OPTIONAL.* Finish reading "The Vast Wonder of the World" by Melina Mangal on your Epic! app, then answer these three questions in full sentences, and place your answer on a Word Document in your HAND IN folder. Please hand in before Friday at 1045am.
