The day began with the students playing a vocabulary review game, followed by a short lesson on how to write a compare and contrast essay. (Notes and Pointers are located on the Humanities page.) For the middle 2 blocks of the day, we took a step back and reintroduced Cornell Notes, before diving into Chapter 5 in our Ancient Civilizations textbook. We wrapped up with some dribbling drills and basketball related games in the gym.
HOMEWORK: Students need to finish taking CORNELL NOTES on pages 86 - 90 of their textbook, and should hand in any missing art cards, or sarcophagus art projects that have not been submitted.
REMINDER: We are still missing some permission forms and payments for our Science World Trip next week. Also, we are still hoping for a 2 - 3 chaperones to join us for the day. If available, please contact me at: [email protected]
BONUS: the first student from each division to put answer the following question, will earn their team an additional 40 pts! (10 points for every other person who posts two things we could have compared in or lesson yesterday. Ex: Coffee vs. Tea.)
Div 7 - Which 2 movies are used in the comparative essay in the video posted on the Humanities page?
Div 8 - What are the introduction and conclusion compared to in the video posted on the Humanities page?
