Our day began with Science!!! We took notes from our Science text book, discussed habitats & adaptations, and watched a couple of videos on the topic (one of the videos is posted on the Science page). After Recess, the class had time to work on their Animal Adaptations worksheet, then we capped off our morning with our Spelling Quiz. Following lunch, we had a visit from Mrs. Josette Dandurand, an elder from the Kwantlen First Nation, a Residential School Survivor and the mother of JKE's Aboriginal Support Worker, Luke Dandurand. She talked to us about her experiences in residential school, and answered our students questions. The class was incredibly receptive, attentive, and asked very thoughtful questions. I was very proud of them. To reward them, we cleaned up and headed outside for some DPA and then played "Heads Up, 7 Up." It was an excellent day in Division 10!!
