It was Presidential Inauguration day in the United States today, so in honour of the massive political changes taking place with our neighbours to the south, the students began their day with a story, discussion and a live video stream of the process this morning. While I was unfortunately out of the class for most of the morning, I heard only good things from our replacement teacher Ms. Passaglia, about the respectful and thoughtful way the students conducted themselves in my absence.. Before recess the students were also able to complete their Spelling Test, and correct their French quiz from Thursday. Following recess, the student reviewed their French vocabulary dating back to the start of the year. After, what turned out to be a beautiful and warm lunch hour recess, the class came back for silent reading or writing, and to begin work on their Math Measurement Challenge. Sorry no pics of the kids in action today, but photos or not, it was a very productive and educational day in room #105.
There is NO HOMEWORK this weekend, so enjoy it, and spending time with your family!
See you all on Monday!!!
