No photos today parents and students, sorry...but that doesn't mean it wasn't a photo-worthy day. Our day began with Spelling Review Bingo, before the class headed off to the library to exchange their books and spend some time with Mrs. Gammel. After returning we talked a bit about what we had seen in our Social Studies video on the Pre-European America, and the Columbian Exchange. We also discussed different points of view about the people who "discovered" the Americas. It was an inside recess today, so the students partnered up mid-morning for some Battleship, Mastermind, Connect 4 and other board games, while the rain continued to pound down outside. Following our indoor break, we continued on with our video (ask your sons or daughters which animals the Spanish introduced to the Americas, and what was the number one killer of America's indigenous populations) and put a wraps on 15th century continental exchanges between the New and Old World. After lunch, the students had silent reading, PE class with division 8, and finished up with the step #1 of our Robot Mazes assignment. *CLICK HERE FOR WORDS*
