It may have taken a lot longer than I anticipated, but part of the delay, was on me. I hadn't thought that writing a letter would be as difficult as it was for the students. A sign of the times, I guess, but also another learning opportunity as a teacher, as sometimes we underestimate the difficulty and confusing nature of things that seem so simple as adults. With that admission out of the way, I was really happy, regardless of the amount of time needed, that we were able to complete our letters, address them, and get them in envelopes in time for this week's mail run. Not sure when the first replies will start filtering back in, but I know that all of us (students and teacher), are super excited to hear back from the schools we wrote to. In addition to our letters, and artwork today, the students had library this morning, and we kicked off our Laundry Basket Ball tournament with our first four games of the round robin competition.
REMINDER: There are no classes tomorrow, but I look forward to seeing everyone on Monday morning.
