Donald Trump and Kim Jung-un made one last intentional appearance in our class discussion today, as we reviewed answers from our Current Events package, and went through vocabulary. After returning from Library, we played FRAPPETTE with our French Flash Cards, and then broke out some board games for an inside recess. During the middle two blocks the students put their imaginations to work, and built compound machines, using either Legos or K-Nex (be sure to check out the short video of Emily & Justin's Motorized K-Nex car below!). After lunch the students had time to finish up the novels they've been reading since May, and then the Grade 4s were whisked off by Mme. Guillou to do their online school surveys. After gym, it was back to class, just in time for a quick desk and classroom cleanup, and some silent ball.
REMINDER: Tomorrow is the deadline to hand in your permission slips and fees for our Cars 3 field trip to Colossus on Monday, June 19th, and our Cultus Lake Intermediate Field Trip on Wednesday, June 28th.
NOTE: We will be celebrating TECH DAY as part of our Fun Friday tomorrow. I have spoken to the students at length, and encouraged them to bring items that they can play with collaboratively or cooperatively, and that could include remote controlled cars, robots, mechanized Legos, Portable game systems, Tablets, cell phones or any other electronic game. Students have also been reminded that they are responsible for their electronics, and that they can only be taken out and used, once it is time to do so.
