After three consecutive days of wall-to-wall indoor school days, the sun made it's long awaited return, and the students were finally able to get the fresh air and exercise they have so desperately missed over the past few days. The reprieve from the classroom really showed, as the class put in a really good day! After back to back visits to the Music Room and the Library, the students made their way back to class to learn some new French Vocabulary and put their second language skills to the test. (See below for the "Common French Vocabulary" worksheet.) The students need to complete sentences in French using colour and numbers for the remaining 4 vocabulary words that we didn't create phrases for in class. (Boy, Girl, Dog & House.) Following the break, the students returned to do a self assessment on their progress in class, and then worked more on our fractions math. During the lunch break, we celebrated Sarah and Aiden's birthday by eating some delicious cupcakes. YUM!!! Our day finished off with Silent Reading and then practiced our Spelling words by playing Bingo!
