Thursday began with a visit to Mrs. Robert's Music class and then Library. In between the two, Division 10 students took part in the Great BC Shakeout, as part of the Province's ongoing Earthquake preparedness program. Once the students returned to class, we reviewed our French Colours and Numbers, and played Battleship using our colours and numbers as coordinates on a grid. In the afternoon, we did our Spelling Quiz, read a couple more chapters in My Name is Seepeetza, continued with our Battleship games. Following gym class, it was back to the room for cleanup and to work on our Animal Arts projects.
HOMEWORK: If students did not finish their ONLINE SHOPPING homework from yesterday (CLICK HERE to access Wednesday's homework details) please finish it this weekend.
NOTES: The students did not do very well overall as a class on their spelling this week. We want to improve on our comprehension, proficiency and scores, so we will use the same 25 words for next week's spelling quiz. If you have not, please review the spelling words with your son or daughter and have them explain the meaning of each. Knowing how to spell a word isn't very useful, if we don't know how to use it, or understand it.
REMINDER: There are no classes tomorrow, and it is an early dismissal on Monday, as classes let out at 1:30pm. Have a fantastic weekend!
