The day kicked off with the students in both classes beginning to rehearse their dances as part of our JUST DANCE unit. Once we returned to room #105, the class was treated to a visit from Mrs. Pimentel and her robots. The students worked hard on their robot mazes, and a number of groups even began the process of coding their Dash robots to navigate their mazes. After recess, the students watched a short video on Easter, and were assigned a paragraph writing assignment based on "What Easter Means to Me." (See homework details below) After lunch, we had our daily silent reading followed by some DPA outside, then time to work on our Spelling Words for the week.
HOMEWORK: The students need to write a composition of at least 3 paragraphs, based on "What Easter Means to Them." They should use their planning sheets that they worked on in class to help guide their writing. The paragraphs are due Wednesday.
