On the heels of last night's Provincial Election, our day kicked off with a class discussion about what they knew, or thought they knew about the election, the process, and the results. It was a ton of fun to discuss and run through different examples of how a minority governments work, the party system, the legislature and democracy. We also watched and discussed a news report from CBC news. (See below.) Following a very interesting and enlightening morning, the students headed off to music class, then returned to do some Language Arts work. In the afternoon, we had time to do some silent reading, head back outside for another epic game of Kickball (today's teams were the Jedi & the Sith), then inside to continue to work on our Art Project.
