We began our Language Arts studies today with an old fashioned game of telephone, in which the students not only needed to get their message passed along correctly, but also had to make sure their spelling, grammar and punctuation were on point. Midway through the morning lesson the grade 5s headed down to the gym to try out which instruments they'd like to play next year in Grade 6 band. The grade 4s meanwhile stayed behind to work on sentence structure and punctuation. After recess it was off to Music class, then we finally got around to completing the corrections of our Math Review. Looks like we still have some work to do on Multiplication, Division, Area, Perimeter, Measurement and Time. In the afternoon, we were indoors for gym, and played Dodgeball, before returning to room #105 to work on character traits & plot points with Madame Mulski.
HOMEWORK: Grade 5s will need to complete the first three pages of today's Simple Sentences work package.
REMINDERS: (Quite a few!)
- Students are asked to arrive at 8am tomorrow morning if they want to try out for the 800m run.
-Tomorrow is also STAR WARS Day during the day, and the Coding Club Showcase after school. Students (and staff) are encouraged to wear their Star Wars gear!
- Please remember that Friday is a Professional Development Day, and there are no classes.
- The grade 5s begin their Operation Waterproof Swimming Program next Friday, and again on Monday through Thursday (rain or shine).
