One of the students came up to me today and said "Can you believe we've been back at school for almost 3 months already"...at that moment I realized, WOW! Time has absolutely flown by. The good news is, the class continues to amaze me with their creativity, kindness and enthusiasm. It isn't a Rembrandt every day, but we certainly have a lot of fun in class, and we are definitely learning some good life skills! Today was about getting our brains geared up for the week ahead. We kicked off the day with a few games of 20 questions, to get them to sharpen their listening and deduction skills. After that we slid into a discussion and brain storming session about our Entrepreneur Fair projects, and wrote out this week's spelling list. (Spelling words can be found on the Language Arts Page.) After recess, it was back inside for more reviews of division and multiplication, and we even had a good discussion about the impossibility of dividing anything by zero. After lunch our little buddies came to visit, and the buddy groups make paper superhero puppets. I was really proud of the way the students helped lead the activity, and worked so patiently with their Kindergarten partners.
HOMEWORK: Please continue to work on making your Entrepreneur Fair products at home, and review this week's spelling words.
REMINDER: Tomorrow in an early dismissal day for students, and parents should come pick up their children at 1:30. Wednesday is skating, and students as well as parents-drivers can arrive in the class at 8:30am.
