Today was moving day in Division 8, as students swapped table groups for October. (See the Landing Page for new updated table groups.) Students then were given the task of interviewing their new group members and sharing out their responses. Mrs. Lainchbury popped in, and fielded some of the classes questions, before we finished up. Before recess the students continued to build their french vocabulary, as we introduced the verb "porter" (to wear) and some additional clothing items and accessories. (See list on the French page) During the mid-part of the day we had a review lesson on long division, and Matt T came up to help show the class how he does long division. After lunch and an abbreviated silent reading period, the students finally got to meet their lil' buddies, and play outside with them in the glorious mid-afternoon sun. When we returned to class, we had a surprise visit from Mrs. Gore, who introduced the students to the Entrepreneur Fair, which we will be part of in December.
HOMEWORK: We actually have three things due tomorrow, but in each case, the students were given enough time to complete in class. The first is the good copy of their Margaret (from Fatty Legs) story, the second is to complete their Math package on long division and multiplication, and the final thing to do for homework, is to come with ideas about what they could for the Entrepreneur Fair.
