To help kick start our drizzly Monday morning, we played a good old fashioned game of Telephone. The students were divided into two teams, and given tongue twisters to pass along to their teammates. Lots of fun, but not a ton of accuracy. We definitely need to refine our listening and deciphering skills! French was considerably more successful, as we reviewed our colours once again, and students offered to point out different items around the class and ask "Quelle couleur est...?" (What colour is?) We then worked on creating French flashcards, both before and after recess. Before the lunch break, we read aloud and discussed "Fatty Legs." After lunch we read silently for about 20 minutes, then headed to the gym to hear some stories from a Haida storyteller, who captivated us with aboriginal legends and stories. For the final part of the day, we headed outside for an abbreviated DPA, then back into class to clean up and go home.
