Really enjoyed the focus and attention to detail in class today. While I can give away any specifics about the art project we are working on, I was pleased to see the students trying so hard, taking calculated risks with their work, and not giving up on their visions. At times there were frustrations and start-overs, but while the final product is important, the patience and process was even more beneficial. Our art spanned the better part of the day, with intermittent breaks for an epic game of Elves vs. Reindeer Dodgeball in the gym, some silent reading, and even some descriptive writing paragraphs. Matt T returned to class today, so we were finally able to sing him Happy Birthday (a day late, but better late than never)! Mrs. Angell, our class mom, was kind enough to back us some delicious peppermint cookies as well...which was a nice Thursday surprise!!!
HOMEWORK: If you were unable to finish your DESIGN A NEW TOY writing assignment in class today, please finish it for homework and bring it tomorrow. Your Toy Design needs to be coloured, and your descriptive writing needs to be checked for spelling, and must be double-spaced.
REMINDER: Tomorrow is Red and Green Spirit Day, so wear your favourite tacky Holiday Sweater, or just something red and green!
