I always tell the students that "Honesty is the Best Policy", so I will admit, that with the pending snowfall looming, and the Women's Gold Medal game being must-see TV, I opted for yard work and TV watching, instead of updating the website yesterday. So today is a double-dose of updates based on the past two days in Division 8.
On both days there has been a heavy focus on researching and organizing our Heritage Fair Projects. I have been able to go over and make recommendation on over half of the students' projects. I will continue to sit and guide the students next week, as we all work towards being ready for our initial round of presentation on March 7th.
Heritage Fair, wasn't the only item on our class menu the past two days, as we also completed days 4 and 5 of our Class Gym Olympics, playing 8 epic games of Four Corners Soccer. With 5 days complete, Korea continues to lead, while Japan is closing the gap, and Canada and the USA remain in the Bronze medal position. We also had time to meet up with our Lil' Buddies to complete our measurement art projects, and even had the opportunity to visit Ms. Palmer's class and see her students' Science Fair Projects.
HOMEWORK: Students should continue to compile and keep track of their research for their Heritage Fair Projects. I have also included the link of how to save photos and images to the students' One Drive accounts. CLICK HERE FOR DIRECTIONS ABOUT SAVING IMAGES TO ONE DRIVE. **Please remember to keep track of all the sites, or books you are using for your research.**
REMINDER: There are no classes scheduled for tomorrow (Friday, Feb. 23rd), and it is a half day on Monday, Feb. 26th, with classes being dismissed at 11:30am.
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND & ENJOY THE FINAL DAYS OF THE WINTER OLYMPICS! GO CANADA GO!
