Short and sweet today. The day began with acknowledging and celebrating International Women's Day. We watched a trio of videos (see below), discussed the struggle for gender equality, then wrote an artistic note to an important woman in each of our lives. At 10 am we headed to the Library to set up for the Heritage Fair, which occupied the remainder of our school day. The students did an unbelievable job with their Heritage Fair presentations today. They should be very proud of themselves. The feedback from students and other teachers was extremely positive. Great work everyone!!
NOTE: Because there could be a lot of downtime tomorrow during the judging, and to help them endure the wait, I gave the students permission to bring a book, a tablet, a computer or a handheld device to keep them occupied while they wait. If they would like to use their electronics, they must have ear buds or headphones.
