Today went by so quickly, that it was over, in what seemed like a blink of the eye. The class did a great job on their multiplication and division of fractions questions this morning, as we reviewed the steps necessary to complete their worksheets. I had assigned the worksheets to be completed today, but a number of students needed more practice in order to understand the process. After a good 45 minutes, the majority seemed to have a good handle on things, so we quickly broke for snack, before making our way to the gym to play Mat Ball. Following the recess break, Manon from the Sustainable Energy Association rejoined us to further talk about the steps we can each take to reduce green house gas emissions. The class wowed her with their knowledge and enthusiasm for the topic, which made me very proud. After lunch, we had time to break the class into groups based on their comfort with Amusement park rides, in preparation for next month's trip to Playland. (We are still looking for parent drivers. Many students have told me that their parents are driving, but I have only received emails from 3 so far. We will need at least another 3 or possibly 4 drivers.) To finish off our afternoon, we met up with the rest of the school in the gym for a Rock n Roll and Blues concert put on by the Blues Berries. Lots of fun!!
