It was an assorted day of Socials, Physical Education, English and even slipped in some Math. The day began with some time to continue to work on their writing from Wednesday. From there we slid into some work on French colours and vocabulary, basing our answers on their classmates' Introduction Cards. (Which can be seen on the Art Gallery Page.) Just before recess we headed off to the gym, to put play out the last few games of our 4 team dodgeball tournament. After recess, we reviewed our weekly spelling words, then did a song close to work on our listening. In the afternoon, it was time to look further into the impact that Colonization had on our Indigenous populations. The students helped create a timeline, and then copy it out in their Social Studies section of their binder. (If they didn't complete their timeline, it is due for homework.)
HOMEWORK: As mentioned, the students need to finish their Timeline activity. Also, tomorrow is the final day of the month for our table groups, and we will have a Trivia Challenge reviewing the topics we have covered in the first month of class. Finally, tomorrow is Orange Shirt Day, and students are encouraged to wear an orange shirt.
