This morning was all about tying up loose ends, as we finished off our Math Fractions booklet, reviewed our weekly spelling words and had the students choose which events they want to participate in at next month's JKE Track and Field Meet. After recess, the class worked very diligently to complete their second writing activity. This time the topic was "When I get older." It was possibly one of the quietest hours room 147 has seen in months! In the afternoon, the class read, then headed outside for some long overdue Vitamin D, and to run our 100, 200 & 400m trials, as well as our long jump warm-ups. Once the students were all good and tired (and muddy unfortunately), it was back indoors to read a few more chapters of Wonder.
HOMEWORK: Study this week's spelling words, and please make sure you have your Stave Falls Powerhouse and Waste to Energy permission forms handed in by Friday. We are still on the hunt for Parent Volunteer Drivers, so if you are able to help out on May 8th or 10th or both, I would love to hear from you.
