Seeing as we missed our Olympic journals on Monday, and the fact Canada won 3 more Gold medals on Monday night, we began our day with a review of the past 24 hours of Olympic action, and watched a couple highlights videos including the historic win by Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir. The discussion following the performances revolved around the qualities of confidence, perseverance, respect and friendship. It was an awesome way to begin our day. After recess, we turned our attention to working on our Heritage Fair projects, then headed to the library to meet with Ms. Doran who showed the students how to log onto and use the online digital resources. **To access the Digital Resources, you simply need to go to the JKE Website: https://jke.sd35.bc.ca/ , then choose the tab called "Library Learning Commons", and click on the drop down menu item called Digital Resources". The login is: langley / the password is: langley35 ** After lunch we read "Wonder" for half an hour and talked about what is means to be empathetic. The students then had another 30 minutes to research their projects before cleaning up, and heading to the gym to learn more about Maple Syrup from the "Maple Man."
