We took our first step towards decorating for the holidays today with a late afternoon Christmas tree math/art assignment. Before we got to that, the students had music class, we reviewed our french verbs with our newly created flash cards, and we named our class Elf on the Shelf...wait for it...Buddy Bob-Jeff Jr. It's a mouthful, but let's face it, BBJJ is a lot of fun to say! To help us improve with our collaborative work, and math, the students created math word problems, that we will work on tomorrow in class. After lunch, we silently read for about 20 minutes, before Mr. Chan's class arrived for a crash course in how to play Laundry Basketball in gym class. Lots of fun, lots of running, shooting and defending, and tons of smiles and lots of sweaty kids! As I mentioned earlier, we capped off our day with a holiday math and art assignment.
