Mr. Barkman took the students for the first 45 minutes today, as I frantically disconnected and reconnected classroom computers in an effort to get them up and running for our French activity this morning. Luckily, I was able to get almost all of them working before the students reappeared, and Lukas helped me get the remaining computers online in time for our French lesson. The students had to choose the correct verbs based on the information in the French sentences on the board. Many of the words were familiar, however there was some new vocabulary for the students to learn in order to complete the activity. After recess, the students dove into a 400 question math review package that had them refining their basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. In the afternoon, we read, played a game called YOSHI with Mr. Chan's class, then finished up (or attempted to finish up) the Jersey or Superhero Spirit Day posters.
HOMEWORK: If students DID NOT finish their review packages in class, they are due for homework tomorrow. Also, please bring a loonie or toonie for the poppies that were donated by the Royal Canadian Legion.
REMINDER: Skating takes place tomorrow. Parents and students are encouraged to come to class early tomorrow, as I will open my doors at 8:30 so that we can get students organized and into their driving groups for the trip to the rink. Also, we have our Remembrance Day Assembly tomorrow at 1pm. Any interested parents who would like to attend, please contact the office to let them know you would like to watch.
