Wednesday's the past few weeks have been awesome, as the first half or our day involves skating, then programming robots! The students may have the occassional gripe about being tired, that their helmets or skates are too tight, or that their helmets are too big, but overall, the lessons have been a huge success! (Thank you to all of our committed and incredibly helpful parent/grandparent drivers and skate lacers!!) Coding the Dash robots has also been an awesome activity to be part of. The students tackled two new challenges today. First making their robots travel a total of 200cm, while performing a defined amount of turns. Then navigating their roboto around a handful of classroom items (Backpack, book, pencil case & water bottle) The afternoon included time to finish the good copy of the superhero drawings and back stories, as well as for book exchange and silent reading.
HOMEWORK: Students need to finish their good copy of their Superhero back story, as well as their illustration. It is due on THURSDAY. Also, students should review the spelling of each of their spelling words, as well as the meaning of the first ten words on this week's list.
REMINDER: Friday is Superhero and Jersey Day at JKE, and Fun Frenglish Friday for our class, as well as the classes of Mdme. Stopa, Mme. Marcus, and Mr. Sangra.
