I am really enjoying our weekly reading groups, and I'm thinking of adding a little more time to them for next week, because I always get so engaged with the group I'm reading with, that I'm inevitably late for the following group. Keep an eye on the Reading Group schedule for next week, as I will either add another 5 or 10 minutes to our small group meet ups.
As the school week closes, a couple quick reminders. Remember there aren't any classes on Friday because of the Professional Development Day, and there aren't classes on Monday either because of the Victoria Day long weekend. Use this time to recharge, get caught up (if you haven't already), or to reconnect online with friends. Set up virtual play dates, read together, play online games together, or just chat. I know you are all missing your classmates and friends, so reach out and let them know you are thinking of them.
If you are looking for some activities to do over the weekend, I have attached 6 different colouring sheets, and if you'd like to unwind with some colouring, there could be a prize in it for you! Once you have completed your colouring sheet(s), you can email them to the BC Wheelchair Basketball Society. Thank you Mrs. Pimentel for sharing this opportunity!
Here are the colouring contest details:
Another activity you might want to do is the repurposing / recycling art project that I assigned earlier this week. It is a great way for you to repurpose something old, into something new.
Here are some examples of the projects your classmates did. A rocket launch pad from Owen, a pop bottle ship from Hayden, and a replica Concert Stage (with music and a simulated drone flyover!) from Tayden!
Have a safe, relaxing and fun-filled four days off and I will look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday morning at 1045am!
