Have you ever had a morning that you wish you could press a reset button on? Well that was my morning today. I was super excited to read with the students this morning, we had a really interesting book and video, and I was looking forward to catching up with the students, but my internet connection had different ideas. Instead of hearing from the likes of Kira, Kayte, Trevor or Emerson, this is what popped up on my screen every few minutes.
Thankfully I had help this morning from Phoenix, Cole and Ms. Freistadt who took control and shared their screens when my WiFi went down, in order to finish off our scheduled reading group sessions. THANK YOU! I know that it is very frustrating when technology lets us down, but there is a silver lining in every dark cloud, and it is that we were able to find creative solutions to overcome our difficulties, and we learned that even our best laid plans don't always work, and we need to be adaptable. With all of this said, I had Twenty One Pilots running through my head all afternoon as I awaited my internet to come back online. (If you aren't sure which song I had stuck in my head, see the video posted below.)
The good news is we have our whole week planned and despite my technological struggles today, you were all champions this morning and it shouldn't affect any of you or your abilities to get your school work done. Please remember to finish the book "Whoosh" on your Epic App, and to watch the associated video about Lonnie Johnson on the Literacy/English Page.
REMINDER: I will be at JKE tomorrow helping support students, and I will not be available online after 10:30am. If you have any questions, please reach out to me in the morning and please keep those assignments coming in.
HAVE A GREAT NIGHT!
