After a fantastic day at Science World on Wednesday, it was back to our regularly scheduled program, which today included some fitness testing and Bench Ball, followed by some election research prior to our Student Vote. After recess, Skylar and Tia served as our election officials and helped officiate our Student Vote. We tried to keep the process as close to reality as possible, right down to the processes, voting screens, ballot boxes, and even ballots directly from Elections Canada. (We should get our School's election results tomorrow.) In the afternoon we learned more about Earthquake preparedness, had an earthquake drill, then finished the day with some time to work on Power Points and Art work.
REMINDER: Student Photo Package Forms are due TOMORROW. Retakes will take place on Monday, October 21st in the Library, as our gym will be used as a community polling station.
HOMEWORK: We have decided to postpone our Spelling test until nest Monday. On Monday, we will have a Spelling Quiz, a Math Quiz (we will discuss the details tomorrow) & the students need to submit their Online Shopping Challenge Power Point presentations.
NOTE: Grade 6 students wanting to take part in the Rock Climbing field trip on Wednesday with Mr. Rogers' class need to have their permission forms in as soon as possible. Also, Mr. Rogers is asking for Gr. 6 parent volunteer drivers, so if you are able to help out, please contact him at: [email protected]
