Our day began with another tour of our Solar System, as we continued to take notes from our Introductory video. (Today's classroom notes are posted on the Science Page.) We finished our notes on Venus, Earth and Mars, then the class split, with the grade sixes heading to Band, while the grade fives stayed in class for Health Class with Mrs. King. Following recess, we were back in the class completing our Pre-Research Project Planning page for the Heritage Fair. I had a chance to check in with a handful of students and get them on the right track. We will have more time tomorrow to work on our Heritage Fair projects, as the first deadline looms. After lunch we headed to the gym for our first basketball lesson (forgot my camera), and the two classes worked on dribbling, stopping and passing. Once back in the class, I was able to meet with a few more students while the rest of the class read silently. At 150pm, Ms. Hu collected the Grade 5s for Music, while the remaining Grade 6s and I went outside to enjoy some sunshine and get some DPA.
HOMEWORK: Any student who has not completed their first two pages of their Fractions worksheets need to bring them in tomorrow to receive a homework mark. We are also still missing a few RESPECT poems and artwork.
