It was a Math heavy day today, as we worked through how to add and subtract fractions that don't have the same denominator. To help, I also introduced Factors, and how to figure them out. I uploaded a copy of the video to the Math page just in case some are still struggling with the concept. In the earlier part of the day we continued to learn more about Natural Resources and Sources of Energy, in preparation for our trip to the Stave Falls Powerhouse later this week. After recess, we finished up our list of helpful French adjectives for the Fashion Show project. (Adjectives were typed up and can be found on the French page.) We wrapped up our day with some 4-corners soccer in the gym, and another Fractions review.
HOMEWORK: Students need to finish their Math questions from the end of the day. They don't need to be reduced to their lowest form, but they do need to be added or subtracted, and the factors should be listed for questions 11 - 15. We will go over the answers in class tomorrow. (See questions below.)
