No photos today, but I can assure you, lots of smoke pouring out of ears today, as the students jumped right back into their work, after a couple days away from school. The day began with some time to prepare, then begin making their French "Clothing" flash cards. After a good 45 minutes of measuring, drawing, cutting and drawing, we headed outdoors in an effort to squeeze in a game of Kick Ball before the rains came. Following the recess break, it was off to visit with Mme. Gammel in the library. In the afternoon, the students read silently for half an hour, then used the remaining 90 minutes to research and work on their Heritage Fair projects. I, on the other hand, tried to meet up with as many students as I could, to check on their progress, and to give them a few pointers on how to narrow in on their guiding questions and focus their research.
NOTE: I will be sending more information about the Heritage Fair later in the week, but here are two important dates to keep in mind. I would like the student to have their Projects completed and at school on Wednesday, April 24th. The students will be presenting their projects to the Heritage Fair judges on Friday, April 26th.
