First days back after a long weekend can be difficult, but even after 4 days away the class showed up ready to work this morning. The day began with some Math Long division word problems, which tested the students math skills, but also their listening and deductive reasoning skills. From there, we kept with Math, and corrected the final two pages of our Superheroes work booklets. After a snowy and icy recess outside, the students returned indoors to complete our RESPECT mind-mapping activity (see below). In the final 45 minutes of morning class time, the students divided their time between free writing, and Reflex Math. In the afternoon, they read for 20 minutes, then moved on to basketball dribbling, passing and shooting drills in the gym. When we returned after PE class I outlined, and discussed the Identity Project that they will be working on this week. (The project It is posted on the English page)
