Following back-to-back snow days, it was back to work today in room 147. There was a pent up buzz in the room when the door opened, so rather than fight the excitement, we spent the first 20 minutes of the day, finding out how each other spent our two extra days off. Once we had determined that Jack had the most eventful snow days, we dove into correcting our French quizzes from Friday. Following a snowy recess break, the students got out of their winter gear, and settled in with the MacBooks to work on their Reflex Math and their typing. In the afternoon our focus shifted to Chinese New Year's, and we learned more about the annual celebration. (See the Social Studies page for today's video and information package) We capped off the day with learning more about the Chinese zodiac and did some associated artwork.
