Normally when students roll in wearing their PJs and slippers, and carrying their blankets and stuffies, you'd think they must've got up late, but with today being FUN FRIDAY & Pyjama Day, it was an expected sight! In our best flannels and onesies, we made our way through Music Class, French, and even our Weekly Spelling Quiz, before reaping the awards of a week well-worked. Midway through our morning, we transitioned from work to play. First up, was finishing off the Trivia Challenge that we had begun late last month. Following their Domino's pizza hot lunch, it was time to read, write, draw or play boardgames. For many of the students, they used their time, to finish their flash cards, graphs or bookmarks. IF the students had all of their assignments completed, they were able to settle in with their pillows, PJs and blankets and watched Surfs Up!
HOMEWORK: There isn't any new homework, however, I am still missing a few permission forms for our trip to Science World, as well as a couple of Student Bookmarks, Survey Graphs and French Flash Cards. If they haven't been handed in, please get them in Monday morning.
REMINDER: We are having our first Big Field Trip of the year next week, as we head to Science World on Thursday morning. I have been fortunate enough to have both Mrs. Green & Mr. Tubbs offer to chaperone, but we could definitely use 2 - 3 more volunteers. Transportation will be provided to and from Vancouver, and admission is complimentary for chaperones. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CHAPERONE, please contact me at: [email protected]
NOTE: We have more field trips planned in the coming months, including participation in the Premier Sports Awards Skating Programs at Sportsplex. I am hoping to begin our 6 lesson, 6 week program in a couple of weeks, and I will be looking for parent drivers to help get our students to and from the rink. I have tentatively scheduled us to leave by 9am and return by 10:30, on Wednesday between November 1st and December 6th. If you are interested in helping out, I would appreciate it. Once it is confirmed, I will send out permission forms.
