Geography skills were put to the test this morning. as Division 10 put their Map skills to work for our warm-up activity. We reviewed the continents, countries, parallels and medians, as well as Prime Meridian, the Equator, and the Tropics. After music class with Mr. Barkman, the students returned to resume learning more about French greetings. (See video and worksheet below) With Mother Nature in a lousy mood, it turned out to be an indoor recess, so the students dove into the class set of board games and had some inside fun. The fun didn't end there however, as a visit from Mrs. Pimentel and her robots had the class grinning with excitement once more. Most groups were able to get started on their full-scale rough copy of their Robot Mazes, and some even got as far as being able to code their robots! In the afternoon, we finished up our French greetings video, and were able to practice the first part of the scripted dialogue. After a quick walk outside for DPA, we returned to continue with learning new reading strategies with Mrs. Mulski.
