Today was the storm after the calm of Tuesday. We kicked off our day bright and early with our Reading Groups at 9am and carried all the way through to 10am. On today's reading menu was "Space Explorers" which tied in nicely with our reading comprehension on the Hubble Telescope and coincided with today's scheduled, then postponed launch (rescheduled for Saturday, May 30th at 12:22pm Pacific time) of the SpaceX rocket to the International Space Station. At 10:45 we reconvened to go through some of the answers to our Math Perimeter and Area worksheets (Great work Tayden, Iah, Owen, Jeffrey and Charleigh with solving questions this morning!!) and then spent most of the rest of the meet up time exploring the Woodblock Racer Project and the Real Estate area assignment. (Both assignments are now posted on the Numeracy page.) We punched the ball over the goal line at the end of our meeting with the introduction of Cole's Sports Breakout Room which is a ton of fun and has been posted on the Literacy page.
REMINDER: We have a short but fun 9am Morning Meet Up planned for tomorrow, so that students can ask questions and hang out before the weekend. (There won't be any online meetings or office hours on Friday as I am at JKE assisting students)
NOTE: The updated assignments spreadsheet was sent out to parents and guardians earlier today.
